The 2023/2024 Y4 Sacramental Programme will begin with a Cheese & Wine Evening for parents on 26th September at school. Mrs Kinga Grzeczynska, will introduce the programme and explain the process of Family Catechesis. Although the meeting is intended for parents only, if families are struggling for childcare, then the school will do its best to accommodate them.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Kinga who conducts classes in school every year. It is thanks to her and Fr Marsden's commitment and determination that makes it possible for the Y4 children take this important step in their faith journey. As always, thank you also to the parents and families for their support and encouragement.
Over the first two weekends of June 2024, the Y4 children will be able to take their first Holy Communion at St Mary's Church and then during an afternoon soon after, the children can wear their First Communion outfits and take part in a small celebration we have in the school hall. Each child is presented with a beautiful First Holy Communion certificate and an ornate crucifix as a special commemorative gift from St Mary’s Church to mark their special day. Tempest photographers will come in to take an official record of the 2024 St Mary’s Sacramental Class.
